Simenon piace.
People like Simenon very much. We have to admit it.
Auctions gone crazy, animated discussion groups and many sites dedicated to this extraordinary french writer, who in Italy was translated for the first time around 20s.
About Simenon and his rarities I've already wrote in the past. With this short post I just want to inform about two other books not extremely rare, but very sought. I'm referring to the fourth and fifth volume of the 12 book collection called "Tutte le opere di Georges Simenon", published from 1966 to 1974. At the beginning there were planned 24.
These two volumes came out in two different versions: one with a paper binding and a dust jacket illustrated by Ferenc Pinter and one in a luxury edition with a brown half leather binding and Varese paper on boards.
Its recent estimations, for each one, reaches always 150-160 euros.
