New BOLO publication

Giovanni Galilei, Armenia. Sguardi, BOLO, Milano 2013

Non potevo farmi sfuggire questa bellissima nuova pubblicazione della casa editrice BOLO di Milano, di cui vi ho già parlato (vedi post). 

Si tratta di un album di fotografie stampate in offset dal giovane artista milanese Giovanni Galilei e scattate l'anno scorso durante un viaggio in Armenia.

A colpirmi è stata soprattutto l'immagine qui riportata, che ricorda molto alcuni dipinti del grande artista tedesco Gerhard Richter, anche se il procedimento di quest'ultimo è radicalmente diverso. Ma anche la pulizia e l'essenzialità della copertina del libro, di sapore decisamente antico.

La tiratura non è dichiarata, quindi potrebbero essere rimaste poche copie ancora a disposizione di chi fosse interessato!

I just couldn't miss this beautiful new publication of the milanese publishing house BOLO, about which I've already wrote (look the post). 

It's a photo album - printed in offset - made by the young milanese artist Giovanni Galilei. The photos were taken last year during his trip in Armenia.

What surprised me most was the image I've reproduced, which reminds the pictures of the great German painter Gerhard Richter, although the technique is very different. But also the clean and essential cover, which has an antique taste.

The run is not declared, so maybe there are only few copies left for those who want to buy it!
