About Pistoletto and my passion for his art I've already spoke in my first article for this blog. I just want to share with those who will read me my recent trouvaille: his fourth exhibition catalogue-flyer (the third in Italy) from the Leone gallery, a space which is not remembered as crucial for italian history of art from the Sixties, but which is in this case very important for the choice of the artist; one of those who became famous.
As most of exhibition catalogues of those years - look for example the ones from Tartaruga gallery or Attico, but also from Cavallino gallery - the edition aspect is sober and essential, which on my opinion has contributed to make them rare, because probably they were thrown away after the exhibition (although this is not a real exhibition catalogue, but an invitation card. Oftently it's the only attestation of the event, because of a short economical possibility of those ages).
Just a flyer to announce the event, followed in this instance by two mirror paintings, typical Pistoletto's.
Another rarity that I'm glad to add to my collection!
