Un ricercato d'eccezione ne L'Unità / The exceptional case of a sought book from the L'Unità's collection

Un libraio piuttosto navigato solitamente scarta o deprezza i libri della casa editrice di fantascienza L'Unità. Questo perché le copie in circolazione sono tante e i testi sono solitamente ristampe e non inediti, per di più su carta abbastanza modesta.

Il librario piuttosto navigato, però, dovrebbe anche sapere che nel mondo del collezionismo librario nulla è certo e determinato con sicurezza. Qua e là possono sempre spuntare rarità, anche tra le collane più impensabili.

Il caso de L'estate incantata ne è un esempio eloquente. 

Il testo di questo notissimo autore di fantascienza, amato dagli appassionati del genere ma anche dai bibliofili, poiché autore del succoso Fahrenheit 451 dove l'argomento principale è proprio il mondo dei libri, uscì in lingua originale nel 1957 con il titolo Dandelion Win.  Soltanto nel 1985 fu stampato dalla Mondadori nella collana Oscar (con successive ristampe fino al 1991) e nel 1993 da L'Unità. 

Ad oggi, non avendo subìto altre ristampe, si è fatto piuttosto ricercato e quindi valutato nell'antiquariato. Chi poteva mai immaginarlo?

Usually a very expert bookseller rejects or depreciates all the books from the Science Fiction collection L'Unità. That's because there a lot of copies around and because usually it makes reprints and not unreleased books, moreover in a bad paper.
But the very expert bookseller should also know that in the world of book collecting nothing is sure and determined. Some rarities may always appear between the most unsuspected collections.
That's the case of the L'estate incantata.
This book by the very known Science Fiction writer, beloved by the followers of this genre but also by bibliophiles - because of his lovely Fahrenheit 451, where the leading plot talks about books - has been published in 1957 with the title Dandelion Win. Only in 1985 Mondadori printed it the Oscar collection (with later reprints till 1991) and in 1993 was the turn of L'Unità.
At the moment, for there weren't any other edtions, it has become quite sought after and therefore valued by antiquarians. Who could've imagine?
