Ai più esperti non segnalerò nulla di nuovo, ma ai curiosi o a quelli che investono "energie collezionistiche" in altri campi farà sicuramente piacere: questo è il primo giallo scritto da un italiano.
Se ricordate vi ho parlato dei miei recenti studi in questo settore per me insolito, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il crime nostrano. In quell'occasione affrontai brevemente la questione dell'osteggiamento da parte del regime mussoliniano del giallo straniero, ritenuto pericoloso e deviante "per le masse". La soluzione era quindi quella di favorire gli scrittori italiani, spesso e volentieri forzando la mano.
Ecco che così nel '31 uscì Il sette bello, su espressa richiesta dell'editore Mondadori a Varaldo.
La trama, in breve, verte attorno all'inchiesta del commissario Bonichi su un coinvolgimento di quattro amici in una brutta storia di omicidio. Per il resto lascio a voi il divertimento di andare avanti, procurandovi - se non si vuole spendere - l'edizione economica degli anni Settanta.

So the solution was to introduce Italian names in the catalogues, often forcing them. And so in '31 came out Il sette bello, expressly requested by Mondadori to Varaldo.
The plot in short talks about the investigation of the commissioner Bonichi about five friends' involvement in a murder.
But I'm not anticipating anything: just buy the book also in an economy 70s edition, if you don't want to spend a lot of money.
